The outgoing RAV4 Hybrid made 219 system horsepower. The 2026 model now delivers 236 combined system net horsepower, drawn from a 2.5 L four-cylinder engine paired with Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system. Engineers improved the transaxle, power control unit, battery, and motor output across the board to hit that number while also improving fuel efficiency.
