Aboriginal Arts Collective of Canada | Pass The Feather would like to sincerely thank Belleville Toyota for their generous donation to our Classroom Art & Knowledge Exchange Program.
These funds will go to providing cultural teachings and art activities for underfunded First Nations classrooms.
“Pass The Feather To Me!” | A Classroom Art Exchange Program will create exciting friendships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal youth that will transcend logistic and financial barriers and create co-operative and respectful interrelations for future generations.
The "Classroom Art Exchange Program" will assist educators to integrate Aboriginal perspectives into new and existing academic curricula by means of an art collaboration.
While initiating creativity and re-visiting traditional teaching, the program aims to encourage healing and mitigate inter-generational trauma. In turn, the inclusion of predominantly non-Aboriginal (or classrooms of mixed cultures) allows for the development of informed opinions on matters relating to Aboriginal peoples and their history and traditions.
“Pass The Feather To Me!” | A Classroom Art Exchange Program is the first of many projects by the newly established not-for-profit organization, Aboriginal Arts Collective of Canada
"Without your generous support we could not have done it! The 2012 BGHA 5th Annual Golf Tournament completed our commitment to Quinte Health Care (QHC) Belleville General Hospital (BGH) to create and fund an Education Endownment to assist staff in advancing their skills and practices. Thank you for being a Hole Sponsor again this year. Your partnership has been an important part of our tournament success."
"What a success! With your support, our recent Family Fun Day event raised $5,100 towards building an accessible trail at the Quinte Conservation Area. Oh behalf of Quinte Conservation, I want to extend a heartfelt 'Thank You' for your commitment to making this event so successful. Your sponsorship in support of this event was much appreciated.
We now want to make our trails accessible to people of all ages and abilities so that everyone can enjoy the lush green of our forest trails in summer and explore the wonder of an autumn colour display. Your donation in support of our fundraising effort helps us make that dream a reality.
Once again, thank you so much. We value your continued support of our efforts."
"Please accept my sincere thanks for your participation in our Gold Sneaker Program, part of the 2012 TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes in support of JDRF. As a result of your generosity, and the support of others like you, this year's event was a huge success.
Thanks to your support, JDRF's pursuit of research excellence to cure, treat and prevent diabetes is positively impacting the lives of those living with this disease. The funds you raise mean JDRF can continue leading edge research in Canada and around the world, including 50 clinical trials, compared to just 5 in 2001. We can only do this with the support, dediciation and passion of people like you!"
"On behalf of the 2011 Festival of Trees Auction committee, we are writing to thank you for your generous auction donation to support Quinte Arts Council's year-round programming.
