Toyota sales explode in October

While the pandemic slowed sales growth for all manufacturers last spring, including Toyota, the current recovery demonstrates consumers' love for new vehicles. And this love couldn't be stronger than at Toyota, which saw its sales explode in October.

Let’s see how it translated.

First, it should be noted that the recovery has been spectacular within the Toyota group while in October, the company recorded a better result than at the same date last year, a concrete increase of 1.5% . A total of 21,100 vehicles were sold.

And where the growth has been the most spectacular is with the brand's electrified products. In fact, this was a fourth consecutive month of growth, so in total 4,558 models were sold, an increase of 30.3%. If you do the math with the rest of the lineup, that means Toyota's electrified models accounted for 21.6% of the company’s sales domestically in October.

The stars responsible for this result are the Highlander and RAV4 Hybrid SUVs, as well as the Camry Hybrid and the Prius family of products.

The other force that boosted sales in October was the company’s family of trucks and SUVs. For example, the RAV4 saw its numbers climb 9.1% in October to reach 6,924 units sold. For its part, the new Highlander, with 1,551 units, contributed with an increase of 13.5%. Even the Tacoma pickup truck put its two cents in with a good 82.7%, thanks to 1,970 units sold. These are all records for a month of October.

A total of 15,867 Toyota trucks and SUVs found buyers in the country in October, an increase of 3.7%.

In closing, note the interesting performance of four separate products in October. First, the Tundra pickup truck with 1,111 units sold, an increase of 80.1%. The Camry, for its part, saw its sales climb by 41% as 1,020 models were claimed in the country.

The company has the wind in its sails, to say the least. Don't hesitate to come and see it up close.
