The HYBRID MAX, available exclusively in the Platinum grade, delivers an impressive 340 net horsepower. The second powertrain comes standard on the XLE and Limited trims, pairing a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with an electric powertrain.

Not only is the 2023 Toyota Crown a powerhouse, but it also excels in fuel efficiency. The entry-level engine achieves a remarkable 6.2 litres per 100 kilometres, while the more potent HYBRID MAX engine still manages an impressive 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres despite its 300-plus horsepower.

All-wheel drive stability and performance for all conditions

The 2023 Toyota Crown offers two all-wheel drive systems. The E-Four AWD system, paired with the Toyota Hybrid System II engine, sends 100% of the available torque to the front wheels under normal conditions. When required, it can distribute up to 80% of the torque to the rear axle. The E-Four Advanced AWD system, coupled with the HYBRID MAX engine, continuously supplies power to both front and rear wheels, distributing 70% of the available torque to the front and 30% to the rear under standard conditions. In more challenging situations, the engine can channel up to 80% of the available torque to the rear wheels.

Moreover, it is possible to modify the behaviour of the new flagship Toyota sedan with the Toyota Crown's four distinct modes: Normal, Eco, EV, and Sport. Sport mode enhances responsiveness for a more exhilarating hybrid drive, while Eco mode optimizes settings for maximum efficiency. EV (Electric Vehicle) Mode allows for low-speed, electric-only journeys under certain conditions.

The Platinum model expands the driving experience with three additional modes: SPORT+, Comfort, and Custom. SPORT+ mode heightens performance, while Comfort mode provides the most refined settings. Custom mode enables drivers to fine-tune various parameters individually, tailoring the Crown's behaviour to their preferences.
